Have you decided to take part in a dog sledding experience in the heart of Finnish Lapland, in the Suomu resort?
Departing from the Suomutunturi hotel (Suomu winter sports resort in Finland, 124 km from the PERE NOEL village - Rovaneimi), the NORDIC SLED DOGS team offers you the chance to drive your own dog sled team, or enjoy a dog sled ride with our beautiful huskies, and photograph the Northern Lights if you like. We offer a 3km and a 5km circuit.
You'll need to be properly equipped for the mountains: warm boots, gloves, wetsuit, goggles, helmet... You'll also need clothing suitable for the Arctic Circle. You can find some in Finland, just in case.

Extreme athlete and mountaineer Tamara Schlemmer lives alone with 27 Siberian sled dogs in the vastness of Lapland. Here, in the endless snowy landscape, she finds the best training conditions for her dogs.

The activity includes presentation of the pack (27 dogs)
Introduction to the musher's job, the dog's approach and safety instructions
Baptism (approx. 20 min ride) and debriefing after the ride.
In the event of lack of snow, the service will not be reimbursed, but replaced by a cani-kart activity.

VCome and discover the wonders of Suomu,
a small winter sports resort in Finnish Lapland.
Suomu is a small winter sports resort located in Finland, in the municipality of Suomutunturi, near the municipality of Kemijärvi, in the Lapland region. The maximum vertical drop is 248 meters. The longest run measures 1,700 meters. Night skiing is possible on 4 slopes. The ski area is located on the Arctic Circle, and is billed by the resort as "Santa's resort". With several International Ski Federation-approved runs, the resort regularly hosts World Cup races.
Located right next to Suomu mountain, close to the ski slopes, Hotelli Suomutunturi offers accommodation at the foot of the slopes in the SUOMU ski resort. Free private parking and Wi-Fi access are provided. The bright rooms feature TVs and desks. Some include a sitting area where you can relax. Some offer mountain or lake views.
Alternatively, you can stay in a detached vacation home 1.2 km from the main hotel building. You can enjoy a drink at the Banquet restaurant or the Ski Café. Hotelli Suomutunturi offers a ski rental service. A variety of activities are available, including skiing, husky safaris and fishing.
